After a record-breaking premiere at the Sydney Opera House in 2016 the recreation of the 1956 Broadway production of My Fair Lady is coming to Melbourne’s Regent Theatre 12th May 2017 to 30th July 2017.
Director Julie Andrews has assembled a cast of theatre royalty for this 60th anniversary production. The stellar line-up includes Downton Abbey star Charles Edwards as Henry Higgins, Anna O’Byrne as Eliza Doolittle, Reg Livermore as Alfred P. Doolittle, Robyn Nevin as Mrs. Higgins and Mark Vincent as Freddy. The role of Colonel Pickering is played by Tony Llewellyn-Jones and Deidre Rubenstein plays Mrs. Pearce.
