Defending A-League champions, Melbourne Victory, will host powerhouse European football clubs – England’s Tottenham Hotspur and Italy’s Juventus Football Club and newly announced Spain’s Atltico de Madrid.
Following the overwhelming success of the tournament’s debut, which saw 221,000 fans flock to the Melbourne Cricket Ground across the event week, the European football franchises will descend on Melbourne this July for a series of three hotly contested matches.
International football idols set to make the journey to Australia include Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris from Tottenham Hotspur, Paul Pogba and Gianluigi Buffon from Juventus, and Atltico de Madrid’s superstar, Antoine Griezmann.
